NFTs are tokens that are non-fungible, meaning they cannot be exchanged on a one-to-one basis within the same category.

Fungibility can be illustrated with an example: 1 ETH (fungible) always has the same value as any other ETH at a given time.

This does not apply to NFTs (non-fungible). Within an NFT collection, individual NFTs can have vastly different values from one another.
